IMMIGRANT ANCESTOR. Born in La Rochelle, Charente-Maritime, France. La Rochelle was the main port of departure for French colonists to New France. Married Francoice Durand (1648, Rouen, Normandy) on March 24, 1670 in Montmorency, Quebec. They arrived in New France separately — one from the Atlantic coast, one from Normandy — and met in the colony.

Died June 2, 1708 in Québec City at age 62.
