Flora Pélagie Coppersmith
Lifespan: 1854 — 1919
Summary
Youngest known child of Alexis Joseph Copesmette and Désirée Juliana Meuron. Born 1854 in Mélin (probable) — emigrated to Wisconsin at age ~2 when the family crossed the Atlantic in March 1856. Functionally a Wisconsin native; her formative years were entirely in the Walloon Belgian settlement. Lived past her mother’s 1891 death (died 1919 at age ~65) — likely one of the “three surviving daughters” in Désirée’s 1891 obituary.
