Lester F. Martin, Jr., 63, passed away April 16, 2011, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay, with his family by his side. Les was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., on Jan. 30, 1948, to Lester E. and Lila (Rickel) Martin. He married Cathy Petty on July 4, 1970.

Les loved spending time at the cabin up north, woodworking, hunting, fishing, putting jigsaw puzzles together, playing cards and berry picking, but most of all, he treasured spending time with his family. His strong faith in God gave him the will to fight cancer. He will be truly missed.

Les is survived by his wife, Cathy; children, Christy (Doug) Herman and Sarah (Shawn) Selissen; sisters, Carol (Jerry) Wilmet, Wendy (Randy) Braun and Mary Kay (Bob) Raasch; brothers, Charles (Betty), Gary (Wendy), Dan (Marie) and Paul; grandchilden, Tyler and Brian Herman, Kaitlyn Martin and Mason Selissen; mother-in-law, Grace Petty; brother-in-law, Dale (Darlene) Petty; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Ken Petty.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Woodland Worship Center, Hobart, with a service to follow at 11 a.m., Pastor Howard Young officiating. Internment at Forest Home Cemetery, Townsend, Wis.
