Son of Jacques Guilluame Bodoh (1836–1918) and Julia Marie Balthazar (1844–1912). Married Mary Young. Research Notes
- Maple Creek, Outagamie County location suggests the Bodoh family was in the Appleton/western Green Bay area.
- 1900/1910 census should show the household.
- “Bodoh” is an Americanization of “Beaudin” — the French-Canadian “Dit” naming convention: “Beaudin Dit Bodoh” = “Beaudin, called Bodoh.” Search under Beaudin, Beaudoin, Bodoh, Bodo, Bodeau.
- Beaudin Dit Bodoh lead revised: John’s father is Jacques Guilluame Bodoh (1836–1918), NOT John Beaudin Dit Bodoh (1859). The Beaudin Dit Bodoh connection may still apply further back — Jacques could be a Beaudin Dit Bodoh — or it could be a different branch. Needs further research.
- Birth year discrepancy for Marie: Little Chute chart shows “Marie Eleanor Bodoh (1926–1998)” but FamilySearch says born 1906. Since John died 1915, he cannot be father to a child born 1926. The 1906 date is correct — 1926 is likely Marie’s marriage year to Claude confused with birth year.
- Marie had two brothers: Leonard (1908–1927, died age 19) and Albinus George (1914–1982).
- Marie’s 1998 obituary (Junction City, Oregon) would confirm details.
